Santa will be there too! And downtown will be lit up with half a million white lights for the season (if the Grinch doesn’t stop things)! \nThe First City Lights will stretch from Garden Street to Main Street on Palafox! \nBeginning Nov. 6\, visitors to downtown Pensacola will experience music\, shopping\, food\, art and nightlife under a canopy of four hundred thousand white lights illuminating historic buildings\, parks\, shops\, galleries and outdoor spaces. Visitors can navigate the eclectic district that’s anchored by Palafox Street—named one of America’s “Ten Great Streets”—on foot or by Segway\, horse and carriage\, pedi-cab or a free Downtown Trolley.

DESCRIPTION:Wash off 2024 with our Polar Bear Plunge! \nHead to Pensacola Beach at 2 p.m.\, and plunge (safely) into the Santa Rosa Sound at the annual Polar Bear Plunge.  This year’s event will again place in our signature spot\, Paradise Bar & Grill.  Hundreds of dippers and spectators – many dressed in costume – flock to the beach to participate in this long-established tradition. \nRegistration begins at noon and the fee is $15 cash per person and participants will receive a Polar Bear Plunge t-shirt or a $10 registration donation to participate without the t-shirt and $5 Cub Club for ages fifth grade and under (no-shirt). \nAll proceeds go to the Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce to fund events on the island. \nPlunge at your own risk\, water shoes are encouraged. \nFor more information\, call (850) 932-1500
