DESCRIPTION:In downtown Pensacola\, crowds were gathering for the night\,\nEagerly awaiting the First City Lights. \nFamilies had traveled all the way to Pensacola\,\nFrom far away towns such as Austin and Nola. \nAfter a tustle between August Maywho and the Grinch\,\nDowntown was brightly lit up\, every single inch. \nThe four-hundred thousand dazzling bubs was a breathtaking sight\,\nReminding everyone just how much they love the First City Lights. \n\nAre you ready to light up downtown Pensacola? Join us and Winterfest Pensacola for this holiday season’s best celebration! The Grinch will try and prevent the Mayor of Whoville from flipping the switch to turn on the lights. \nIt all happens on the stairs of the old Pensacola Museum of History on Jefferson. Santa will be there too! And downtown will be lit up with half a million white lights for the season (if the Grinch doesn’t stop things)! \nThe First City Lights will stretch from Garden Street to Main Street on Palafox! \nBeginning Nov. 6\, visitors to downtown Pensacola will experience music\, shopping\, food\, art and nightlife under a canopy of four hundred thousand white lights illuminating historic buildings\, parks\, shops\, galleries and outdoor spaces. Visitors can navigate the eclectic district that’s anchored by Palafox Street—named one of America’s “Ten Great Streets”—on foot or by Segway\, horse and carriage\, pedi-cab or a free Downtown Trolley.

DESCRIPTION:A local tradition since 1994\, this event ushers in the holiday season in the Navarre area with a Merry Market where local artists and crafters will gather with great gift ideas for everyone on your list.\nThis is an outdoor event in Navarre Park located at 8513 Navarre Parkway.\nThe Merry Market spaces are $50 each for local arts\, crafters and small retailers. (Navarre Chamber Members get a $10 discount.)\nMerry Market Vendors must provide their own table\, tent and chairs.\nMerry Market Sponsor Spaces are available for Commercial Businesses: $250\nNO POLITICAL ADVERTISING.\nThe Annual Navarre Community Christmas Parade will start at 1 pm at the Navarre Library and will roll south along Presidio\, making a left at Esplanade Street and ending in the back parking lot of Centennial Bank.\nParade Entry Fee: $50\nSanta and Mrs. Claus will arrive by fire truck in the parade and will be available for photos with children in Navarre Park as soon as the parade ends.\nVisits with Santa & Mrs Claus are free and parents are invited to bring their cameras for photos.\nThere will be baked goods and beverages will be available at Mrs. Claus’ Bakery in Navarre Park after the parade.\nThe Navarre Chamber is currently seeking LIVE entertainment\, local schools and choirs from the local area to perform in Navarre Park during the day.\nContact Lynne.Myers@NavarreChamber.com if your group is interested in performing.
