Fall market season is heading back to East Hill and the first one comes with a Halloween twist.
The East Hill Makers Market Spooktacular takes over Cordova Square on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 3–6 p.m., bringing local makers, vendors and plenty of fall fun to the neighborhood.
Hosted by the East Hill Neighborhood Association, the Makers Market is a free, family-friendly event designed to bring the community together while giving local businesses and makers a place to showcase what they do.
And the Spooktacular is just the beginning. The fall market series continues at Cordova Square, 1101 N. 12th Ave., with a different theme each month:
- Oct. 6, 3–6 p.m.: Spooktacular Market
- Nov. 3, 3–6 p.m.: Harvest Market + Manna Food Pantry Drive
- Dec. 1, 3–6 p.m.: Holiday Makers Market
All three markets are free and open to the public.
Local makers can still get in on the fun, too. Vendor registration remains open for the fall series, giving small businesses and creatives an opportunity to set up shop in the heart of East Hill.
The markets are part of the East Hill Neighborhood Association’s larger effort to support local businesses and create more opportunities for neighbors to connect. The organization also hosts community favorites including Bands on the Bayou, Big Screen on the Bayou and Spring Into Wellness.
Funds raised through memberships, sponsorships, vendor fees and donations are reinvested into neighborhood and park improvements and help support local nonprofit organizations.
Outdoor makers market with 50+ local artisans, food trucks, live entertainment/carols, kids activities and a neighborhood tree lighting. 40+ vendors, food trucks, carols, and a tree lighting at 6 PM.
