About this event

As the holiday season descends on the Emerald Coast, Grand Boulevard at Sandestin transforms into a magical outdoor Christmas gallery. The Festival of Trees features eighteen beautifully decorated trees, each crafted and themed by a local non-profit competing for cash prizes including Best of Show and People's Choice. The result is a stunning, free-to-explore holiday display that draws visitors and locals alike.

The kick-off celebration brings Grand Park to life with horse-drawn carriage rides, professional photos with Santa Claus, live holiday entertainment, and festive atmosphere that perfectly captures the spirit of a coastal Christmas. Once the trees are unveiled, they remain on display through December 25 — making every stroll through the village a holiday delight.

Grand Boulevard's open-air town center setting adds to the magic, with the area's restaurants, boutiques, and the Emerald Coast Theatre Company all nearby for a full holiday evening. It's a wonderful anchor for any holiday beach trip — a reminder that even under warm Florida skies, the Christmas spirit shines as brightly as anywhere on earth.

What to expect: 18 custom-decorated trees by local non-profits on display late Nov through Dec 25. Horse-drawn carriage rides, Santa photos, and live entertainment at the kick-off celebration. FREE admission.

Planning tip: Arrive at dusk for the full magical effect of the lit trees. Combine with dinner at one of Grand Boulevard's restaurants and a show at ECTC next door for a complete holiday evening.
